La Horde review
Steeped in French nihilism, La Horde (2009) is a solid entry in the post-apocalyptic horror genre. Cops go after a drug dealer in a fortified housing project in Paris and meet up with zombies. Things heat up when a whacked-out Vietnam vet enters the picture. Thinking he’s back in Dien Bien Phu, he refers to the zombies as “chinks” and has a cache of weapons left over from the war at his disposal. The bodies pile up when he dons a bandoleer and trains his .50-caliber submachine gun on the zombies.
